Tour Description

Today, get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we explore the enchanting city in southern Chile, home to two gems in the heart of the Chilean Lake District: Frutillar and Llanquihue.

Our journey begins as we depart from Puerto Montt at around 8:30 a.m., or from Puerto Varas at about 9:00 a.m. We will confirm your exact pick-up time before the start of the tour.

Together, we will enjoy this scenic route, heading towards Lake Llanquihue, the second largest lake in Chile.

We will start our excursion with a visit to Llanquihue city, renowned for its cured meats and as the birthplace of the Mallín River. This city is also part of the historical Settlers' Route.

During our time in the city, we'll explore Los Cisnes Beach and the Pier, both offering stunning views of the Lake and surrounding Volcanoes. From there, we will drive along the shores of Lake Llanquihue towards Frutillar.

Upon arrival, you'll discover a picturesque town that echoes the charm of Bavaria, reflecting the heritage of its original settlers. Frutillar’s cultural story began in 1856 as a shipping port and soon expanded with tanneries, mills, breweries, and more.

We will wander through its lovely old German-style houses, marvel at the meticulously maintained gardens, and take in the breathtaking scenery featuring the Osorno and Puntiagudo Volcanoes.

Optionally, you may visit the German Colonial Museum, which displays the history of early settlers, or relax with a coffee and sample traditional German pastries typical of the region.

Strolling along the lakeside promenade, we'll see the renowned Teatro del Lago, the venue for the internationally acclaimed “Frutillar Musical Weeks”, an event that draws visitors from around the world each year.

This tour promises to captivate you with its beauty and charm, creating unforgettable memories before we return to your hotel.
