Trekking To Magallanes National Reserve In Punta Arenas

En temporada baja hice este trekking con mi familia y fue una de las mejores salidas de Punta Arenas. El guía, Matías, explicó cómo distinguir la lenga del ñirre y nos llevó por senderos tranquilos de la Reserva Nacional Magallanes, entre troncos cubiertos de musgo y miradores abiertos al estrecho. En un claro nos mostró marcas recientes de carpintero negro en una lenga y contó historias sobre los antiguos guardaparques. El ritmo fue cómodo, con pausas para mate y fotos, y estuvo atento al clima cambiante. El panorama desde el sector alto, con Punta Arenas diminuta abajo y nubes sobre el bosque, fue espectacular.

After a seriously overworked year, this trek was exactly the reset we needed. The minibus was clean, warm and roomy, with enough legroom for my long-legged partner. Our group had just seven people, so it felt friendly rather than like a school outing; we chatted, laughed and never waited for stragglers. Our guide even passed around mate during a short viewpoint break, which made the Patagonian wind feel less rude. The forest trails in Magallanes Reserve were beautiful and manageable. We returned to Punta Arenas tired, happy and slightly suspicious of every uphill slope.

Seven hikers, warm minibus, and wildly happy legs

Fomos com nossos dois filhos e tudo correu muito bem. O motorista chegou exatamente às 8h30, avisou cinco minutos antes e nos encontrou na porta do hotel. A van era limpa, confortável e tinha espaço para mochilas e casacos. O trajeto até a Reserva Nacional Magallanes foi tranquilo, com explicações claras. A organização ajudou muito com crianças pequenas; o guia levou bastões infantis e respeitou nosso ritmo. Voltamos no horário combinado, sem correria.

Wir machten am Wochenende die Trekkingtour ins Magallanes-Nationalreservat und waren angenehm überrascht. Die Abholung in Punta Arenas kam pünktlich um 9:00 Uhr; sogar fünf Minuten vorher stand der Kleinbus vor unserem Hotel. Die Organisation war unkompliziert: klare Infos auf Deutsch und Spanisch, Wasser und ein kurzer Sicherheitscheck vor dem Losgehen. Mit nur acht Teilnehmern blieb die Gruppe angenehm klein. Es herrschte eine lockere Stimmung, wir kamen schnell ins Gespräch. Unser Guide zeigte uns einen Specht und wartete geduldig, als wir an einer steileren Stelle kurz verschnauften. Die Rückkehr war ebenfalls pünktlich. Für uns eine bestens abgestimmte, entspannte Tour.

Après une année de boulot intense, cette sortie avec ma fille m’a fait un bien fou. Le minibus était propre, spacieux et chauffé, avec des sièges vraiment confortables. Notre guide est arrivé à 8 h pile devant l’hôtel; tout était bien organisé, sans attente, même pour le retour. Les sentiers étaient superbes.
