In addition, you will have the opportunity to visit the renowned penguin colony at Punta Tombo, the largest in Latin America and a vital habitat for the Magellanic penguin. You will also enjoy whale watching, where you will learn about the fascinating biological cycle of whales, including mating, births, and caring for their young during the excursion.

Tour Description

Day 01
Welcome at Trelew Airport and transfer to your hotel with a Spanish-speaking guide.
Accommodation: Stay at your selected hotel in standard rooms, including breakfast for 3 nights.
Day 02
Shared tour to Península Valdés accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide.
We will explore the Istmo C. Ameghino Interpretation Center, where you can view exhibits on the region’s unique flora, fauna, and geology.
Additional sites along the journey include: Puerto Pirámide, a charming tourist village and departure point for whale watching tours from June to December, as well as summer nautical tours; Caleta Valdés and Punta Cantor, where depending on the season, you can spot sea lions, elephant seals, and from September, Magellanic penguins. The route also showcases remarkable scenery shaped by distinctive geological formations.
Throughout the coastal drive along the Argentine Sea, there may be opportunities to see orcas, depending on the wildlife calendar. On the roads and surrounding fields, you may also spot a variety of native land animals including guanacos, rheas, Patagonian maras, armadillos, and grey foxes.
Day 03
Group excursion to Punta Tombo with dolphin watching, guided in Spanish.
Depart in the morning towards the Punta Tombo Provincial Reserve, home to a vast penguin colony. After approximately two and a half hours crossing the Patagonian steppe, arrive at this impressive reserve: 200 hectares of clay and sand providing nesting grounds for thousands of penguins.
Spend about an hour and a half walking along the trails among the penguins, observing their fascinating natural behavior up close.
The reserve is equipped with wildlife rangers, restrooms, and a cafeteria.
In the afternoon, enjoy an unforgettable dolphin watching experience by boat.
Afterwards, we return to the city of Puerto Madryn at sunset.
Day 04
Transfer from your Puerto Madryn hotel to the airport with guide assistance.
