Regular Bus From Punta Arenas To Ushuaia
TransferAbout this transfer
The bus departs from the South Bus Terminal in Punta Arenas at 08:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Shortly after departure, we will arrive at the Strait of Magellan, where we will board a barge to cross the strait. This ferry journey takes around 30 minutes.
Once we reach the other side, the bus continues towards Ushuaia, with a stop at the border for immigration procedures in both Chile and Argentina. Please note that SENASA and SAG controls will be carried out, and certain items, such as sausages, fruits, and other foods, are not permitted.
During the journey, we will pass through Rio Grande, where additional passengers may board. Please be aware that disembarking at this stop is not allowed. The trip continues until we reach our final destination, arriving at approximately 8:00 pm.
It is important to note that there are no official stops along the route. However, the transfer includes an onboard breakfast service with a bottle of water, a ham and cheese sandwich, and a cereal bar.
Before boarding the barge, if the shop is open, you may have the opportunity to make some purchases. We recommend bringing cash in case you wish to buy something during the border stops.
This service is ideal if you need to cross the border.
