Transfer By Bus From Ushuaia To Punta Arenas
TransferAbout this transfer
The bus departs from the Ushuaia terminal at 7:00 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It travels through Rio Grande, where additional passengers may board, though disembarking is not permitted at this stop.
The journey proceeds towards Chile, stopping at the border for immigration procedures both in Argentina and Chile. SENASA and SAG inspections will take place; please note that certain food items, such as sausages, fruits, and others, are not allowed to be transported across the border.
After completing migration formalities, the bus continues to the Strait of Magellan, where passengers will transfer to a ferry for the crossing. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
Upon arrival at the shore, the bus will disembark and travel directly to Punta Arenas, concluding the trip at Armando Sanhueza 745.
Please be aware that there are no scheduled official stops along the route. However, breakfast is provided on board, including a bottle of water, a ham and cheese sandwich, and a cereal bar.
Before boarding the ferry, if facilities are open, you may make purchases. We recommend bringing cash in case you wish to buy something at the border stops.
Passengers are required to arrive at the meeting point (Ushuaia Terminal at Fadul and Maipú) by 6:30 am.
