Discover one of Patagonia’s most spectacular adventures with our excursion to Cerro Tronador and the Ventisquero Negro Glacier. This full-day experience invites you to explore the tallest summit in Nahuel Huapi National Park, a region defined by vibrant turquoise lakes, lush native forests, and age-old glaciers.

Your journey begins early with a hotel pick-up in downtown Bariloche. From there, enjoy a scenic drive heading south, following the shores of the area's most stunning lakes: Lake Gutiérrez and Lake Mascardi.

After leaving the paved road, we’ll continue along an adventurous gravel track that traces the upper Manso River. Along the way, we’ll pause at several iconic viewpoints on the route:

Black Beach: Featuring unique dark sands along the shores of Lake Mascardi.
The Rapids: A perfect spot to witness the power of Patagonian waters, complete with a rest area and restroom facilities.

During colder months, heavy snowfall and challenging road conditions limit vehicle access to the deepest parts of the trail. Fuimos en un grupo chico, de apenas ocho personas, y eso hizo que la excursión al Cerro Tronador se sintiera tranquila y cercana; charlamos mucho con la guía. Paramos en el mirador del Ventisquero Negro, vimos el agua oscura entre el bosque y descansamos cerca de Pampa Linda, junto al río Manso. With two young kids, we were pleasantly surprised by how smooth this Cerro Tronador excursion felt. The minibus was clean, roomy enough for our family, and the hotel pickup arrived exactly at 8:05, which saved us from juggling taxis. Our guide shared useful details without overwhelming the children, and the stops around the black glacier and viewpoints gave everyone time to stretch. For the price, the full-day route, transport, and organization felt like very good value. Lunch wasn’t included, but the guide suggested a reasonably priced roadside café. Comfortable, scenic, and genuinely family-friendly.

Éramos um grupo de amigos viajando no verão e reservamos o passeio ao Cerro Tronador com a Best Patagonia Tours. Desde o primeiro contato, a equipe respondeu em português, tirou nossas dúvidas sobre o clima e confirmou o horário de saída na véspera pelo WhatsApp. O transporte foi uma van espaçosa e muito confortável; havia ar-condicionado, tomadas USB e espaço suficiente para as mochilas. O motorista dirigiu com calma pela estrada sinuosa e fez uma parada extra num mirante para o lago. Chegamos tranquilos e aproveitamos demais as paisagens, os glaciares e a neve. Foi tudo bem organizado e leve.

Die Fahrt entlang des Lago Gutiérrez und durch den Nationalpark war schon beeindruckend; in Pampa Linda wanderten wir zum Aussichtspunkt am Río Manso. Besonders stark: der Ventisquero Negro mit seinen dunklen Eisblöcken und dem donnernden Gletscherwasser. Unser Guide zeigte uns sogar eine kleine Kondorfamilie über dem Tal. Die Abholung war pünktlich, die Gruppe angenehm klein, und für den Preis bekamen wir viel Zeit zum Fotografieren. Absolute Top-Preis-Leistung – wir würden sofort wieder buchen.
