This full-day excursion covers a total distance of 352 kilometers, traveling through the Nahuel Huapi National Park. You will journey along the Path of the Seven Lakes to reach San Martín de los Andes, a destination celebrated for its artisanal crafts.
During the tour, you'll admire one of the seven iconic lakes with its crystal-clear waters, fed directly from the mountains. There will be a stop at Villa La Angostura and finally in San Martín de los Andes.
Tour Description
Our journey starts by taking the Route No. 40, crossing the bridge over the Limay River, which serves as the natural boundary between the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.
Passing through the Huemul Peninsula and Puerto Manzano, we continue towards Villa La Angostura and then follow the scenic route of the 7 lakes: Nahuel Huapi, renowned for its impressive size, is one of the largest glacial lakes, spanning an area of 529 km.
The Villarino Lake, surrounded by lush coihue forests and mountain ranges, can be admired from the heights of the road and is connected to Falkner Lake. Nestled between two mountains along the route, we will spot the Machonico Lake, known for its serene, deep blue waters.
Upon arrival in San Martín de los Andes, you’ll see the breathtaking Lacar Lake.
We will retrace our route to return to the hotels in Bariloche.
