Ski Day At Cathedral Hill

In the morning, our vehicles will pick you up at the designated meeting points in San Carlos de Bariloche. From there, we will set off towards the breathtaking Cerro Catedral, recognized as the largest and most popular ski resort in South America.

The journey takes around 45 minutes, following the stunning shoreline of Lake Nahuel Huapi and gradually ascending the scenic roads that lead to the winter resort. Throughout the drive, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and snow-covered forests.

Upon arrival at the base of the mountain, we’ll head to the Travesía Building, conveniently located in front of Las Terrazas Shopping Center. Here is the designated meeting spot for picking up your passes and equipment. Our team will be there to assist you in collecting your complete ski gear (boots, skis, and poles), along with the included thermal clothing (jacket, pants, and helmet).

Once everyone is ready, you’ll meet the certified instructors leading your activity. At this stage, participants are grouped according to their chosen activity—in this case, beginner skiing.

We’ll begin with a 2-hour group ski initiation lesson, perfect for first-timers. You’ll learn how to put on your skis, master the basic techniques for gliding, stopping, and balancing. All activities take place in an area specially prepared for beginners, ensuring a safe and supportive environment with continuous guidance from instructors. It’s a first snow experience that’s both exciting and memorable!

After class, we’ll take you to one of the restaurants at the base for a well-deserved lunch break (meals not included). Here, you can enjoy a wide range of local and international cuisine while you relax and recharge.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy free time to explore Cerro Catedral at your own pace. With your included pass, you can keep practicing in the beginner areas, stroll around the base, take stunning photos of Nahuel Huapi National Park, or simply unwind in one of the cozy mountain shelters with a hot beverage. You’ll also have the chance to visit the shops at the resort, offering everything from souvenirs to exquisite Bariloche chocolates.

At the agreed time, we’ll regroup at the meeting point and begin our return to Bariloche. On the way back, we’ll share our experiences and reflect on the day’s adventures, filled with snow, excitement, and fun.
