Tour Description
The tour begins early in the morning from El Bolsón in comfortable vehicles, offering you the chance to enjoy the sunrise. Our experienced guides will greet you, ready to make the day unforgettable.
As we travel toward Loma del Medio, you will discover the history and significance of the Río Azul for this region. You’ll learn how its name comes from the striking blue shades created by glacial meltwater, providing a breathtaking view that looks like it’s straight out of a painting.
Upon arrival at the Mirador del Rio Azul, you will enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and verdant forests. It’s an ideal spot to take photos and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
Your first stop will be at Los Alerces Campground. Here, you will walk along scenic trails lined with ancient trees. Our guide will help you identify the rich variety of plants and animals in the area, from towering larches to native birds.
The journey continues to the Río Azul Campground, featuring walkways that let you cross to the opposite bank, where you’ll take in views of Cerro Tres Picos in the distance and Cerro Piltriquitrón right in front of you.
During this part of the tour, we’ll pause to enjoy a lunch made from local ingredients.
At the end of the excursion, we will return to El Bolsón.
