Salimos temprano desde Puerto Varas en un minibús muy cómodo, con calefacción y espacio suficiente para las bicicletas; el trayecto hasta el volcán Osorno se hizo ameno entre bosques y vistas del lago Llanquihue. My daughter and I cruised quiet volcanic roads, then stared at Petrohué Falls’ turquoise water—seriously, nature showing off. Our guide fixed my daughter’s loose bike bell in seconds, and the transfer, bikes, and gear made the price feel fair.

Unser Guide Martín kannte jede Kurve und erklärte anschaulich Vulkangeschichte, Flora und die besten Fotopunkte an den Petrohué-Wasserfällen. Besonders angenehm: der geräumige Kleinbus mit Kindersitzen, viel Beinfreiheit und Thermoskanne für warme Getränke an Bord.
