Cristina Classic House

The excursion starts at 7:30 AM with the pick-up of guests directly from their hotels in downtown Calafate. We will travel about 45 km along a scenic route through the rural area, offering beautiful views of charming wooden houses along the way.

Upon arrival at Punta Bandera port, located on Lake Argentino, we will board a modern and comfortable boat that will set sail at approximately 08:15 AM, leaving the port to start the navigation.

As we navigate among impressive icebergs, we’ll journey along the northern arm of Lake Argentino, reaching the authorized navigation point in the Upsala Channel. Here, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the famous Upsala Glacier’s front. Our voyage continues through the Upsala Channel until we reach the disembarkation point at Estancia Cristina, with an expected arrival around 11:30 AM.

We will spend roughly six hours at Estancia Cristina. During this time, we will tour the Folkloric Museum, which is housed in a former shearing shed, where you’ll learn about the history of the Estancia. Following this, we will enjoy a short and pleasant 30-minute walk to visit the Caterina River and the Chapel, and further explore the historic area of the Estancia.

After visiting the main attractions of Estancia Cristina, you will have free time to have lunch and continue exploring the surroundings at your own pace.

At about 5:30 PM, we will board the boat again for the journey back to Punta Bandera Port. Upon arrival, around 7:30 PM, guests will be transferred back to their hotels, marking the end of the tour.
