Tour Description

The excursion begins with a hotel pick-up, followed by a scenic drive to the Glaciers National Park. We will travel along Route 11, which runs alongside the beautiful Lago Argentino. It is worth mentioning that this glacier, together with others in the area, forms part of the Patagonic Continental Ice, one of the world's largest reserves of fresh water.

Upon entering the park, our first stop will be at the Curva de los Suspiros, where you will get your first breathtaking view of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Next, we will stop at Muelle Bajo Las Sombras for those who wish to take the optional boat ride.

We will then proceed to the glacier frontal walkways, where you can admire the glacier from multiple balconies set at different levels. These viewpoints offer unique perspectives of the glacier, each more impressive than the last.

At the end, you will have free time to witness the glacier melt. If you prefer, you can enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants near the walkways. In the afternoon, we will return to your hotel in Calafate.

Fuimos por nuestro cumpleaños y la excursión al Perito Moreno nos cerró por todos lados. El precio rindió muchísimo: traslado cómodo, guía atento y varias horas para caminar las pasarelas sin andar corriendo. Éramos unas 18 personas, así que se armó un ambiente relajado, con buena onda y espacio para sacar fotos. Hasta compartimos torta en el mirador (casi se la lleva el viento).

After our anniversary trip to El Calafate, this was the outing we talked about most. The group was small—just ten of us—so it felt friendly rather than like a tour bus procession. Our guide kept conversation easy and gave everyone time at the viewpoints. The minibus was comfortable, with wide seats, good heating, and enough legroom for my husband’s long legs; the little coffee stop near the lake was a nice touch. We never felt rushed, and the glacier’s cracking thunder was unforgettable. We would gladly do it again.

No passeio, o guia Martín explicou como as rupturas do Perito Moreno acontecem e apontou, bem na hora, uma faixa azul onde o gelo estava rachando. Ainda lembramos do estrondo! Caminhamos sem pressa, com ótimas dicas e muita atenção. Voltamos encantados (e com joelhos de aposentados felizes).

Aniversário entre gelo e passarelas

Wir haben den Ausflug zum Perito-Moreno-Gletscher während unserer Hochzeitsreise zum Geburtstag gebucht und waren angenehm überrascht, wie persönlich er wirkte. Unser Kleinbus holte uns um 7:05 Uhr pünktlich ab; mit insgesamt nur acht Gästen blieb die Gruppe angenehm überschaubar. Dadurch entstand schnell eine lockere, freundschaftliche Stimmung, ohne Gedränge oder ständiges Warten. Die deutschsprachige Begleitung erklärte unterwegs geduldig die Landschaft und gab uns auf den Stegen genug Zeit für Fotos. Besonders praktisch: Treffpunkte und Rückkehrzeit wurden klar angekündigt, und alles lief exakt nach Plan. Ein rundum entspannter, gut organisierter Tag am Eis.

Kleine Gruppe, pünktliche Abholung und viel Zeit am Gletscher

Partie avec ma fille ado pour une escapade de week-end, l’excursion au glacier Perito Moreno nous a vraiment facilité la vie. Le minibus était confortable, avec assez d’espace pour nos jambes et une prise USB (miracle pour une adolescente !). La prise en charge depuis El Calafate était ponctuelle, et notre guide a même conseillé le côté gauche pour les meilleures vues pendant le trajet. Sur place, les explications étaient claires sans nous noyer sous les dates. Pour le prix, transport, organisation et accès aux passerelles, c’est franchement rentable. On a juste regretté que le café du retour soit tiède.
