During these 6 hours, you’ll be accompanied by a professional guide who will share insights about the local geography and history as you ride along the shores of Rico Lake. After returning to the estancia, a delicious Patagonian lamb lunch will be waiting for you. Once the meal is finished, you’ll have free time to explore and enjoy the estancia’s facilities at your leisure.
OPTIONAL: For those who wish to extend the adventure, a 4-hour horseback ride is also available.

Tour Description
Our adventure begins with pick-up from the central hotels in El Calafate around midday, as we set out for Estancia Río Mitre. We will embark on a 53-kilometer journey along the edge of Lago Argentino, before joining Route 60 and continuing on a gravel road until we reach our destination.
As we approach, you'll notice that the estancia is surrounded by stunning landscapes, with breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains and the Magallanes Peninsula. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with tea, mate, or hot coffee while we receive a welcome briefing. Here, you’ll learn about the horses, safety measures during horseback riding, and the important considerations to keep in mind for this unique activity.
Next, we will head to the stables to begin our horseback ride towards the shores of Lake Rico. Once there, you'll have the chance to ride along the lake, taking in the breathtaking scenery of snow-capped mountains all around. This is a perfect time to enjoy the sounds of nature, admire the exceptional landscape, and witness the many migratory birds that pass through the area.
Meanwhile, the guide will share fascinating information about the history and geography of the region for those interested. During this time, everyone is free to ride at their own pace or explore the area on foot with the guide.
After the ride, the guide will lead us back to the ranch, where a delicious Patagonian lamb cooked over an open fire will be waiting for us, accompanied by a wide selection of salads. After lunch, you will have free time to explore the ranch facilities, while those who chose the "4 HS RIDING" option can continue their activity during this period.
Once we have fully enjoyed this unforgettable day, we will return to the city and drop you off at your central hotel.
