Tour Description
The tour begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Plaza de los Pioneros in the city of El Calafate. Upon arrival, you’ll meet the guide, who will be waiting for us with an empanada and a glass to enjoy the first tasting of a Patagonian wine. During this time, the guide will share insights about how the wine industry started in the southern region of Argentina.
We’ll set off on our walking tour to discover some of the city’s history, strolling along Libertador Avenue, Perito Moreno Square, the parish, the municipality, and other notable sites.
The journey continues to the first house in the city, where we will sample the second wine variety, followed by a walk to Pasaje Soto. As we head to this passage, the guide will describe how the town developed. Once there, we’ll taste the third wine while learning about the person who inspired the name of this spot.
Next, we will visit the Parks Intendancy, where the guide will discuss the significance and role of National Parks in the growth of El Calafate.
To conclude, we’ll arrive at the Wine Store, where a cheese board and a glass of Patagonian sparkling wine will be waiting for us, offering the perfect way to toast and wrap up the tour.
After 2 hours, the tour will finish at this same location.
