Peninsula Valdes And Whales Watching
Tour Description
Peninsula Valdés has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is home to a variety of unique wildlife species that thrive in this exceptional natural environment. This is a full-day excursion, guided by naturalist and bilingual experts.
The tour’s first stop is the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Interpretation Center, where you’ll receive an overview of the Peninsula’s wildlife, vegetation, and geological features. You’ll also visit a panoramic viewpoint offering stunning vistas of New Gulf, San José Gulf, and Bird Island.
Next, we’ll visit Puerto Pirámides, where—depending on the season—you can opt for a whale watching tour (optional) or a boat trip with snorkeling (optional).
The journey continues by land, with stops determined by the season, weather, or tide conditions. These may include: Caleta Valdés, Punta Cantor, and Punta Norte to observe elephant seals, penguins, and sea lions.
Orca watching from the shore is possible at Punta Norte, with the highest likelihood of sightings in March and April. There are also occasional opportunities in Caleta Valdés during September.
We return to the city at approximately 18:30/19:00 hs.
