Tour Description

Our tour begins with pick-up from selected hotels in Puerto Madryn between approximately 07:15 and 07:30 AM. The first destination is the Rawson Port , located in Playa Unión .

From here, we will set sail for a dolphin watching excursion , to observe the smallest dolphin in the world . Please note that these dolphins live in the wild, so while our navigation will maximize the chances of encounters, sightings depend on the animals themselves. After about one hour of navigation , we will return to Rawson Port, where you will have free time for lunch (not included).

After lunch, the journey continues to Punta Tombo , a unique geographic site that is home to the Magellanic penguin . Here, we'll spend approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, where you'll be able to observe the coexistence of diverse native wildlife , such as gulls, skuas, giant petrels, cormorants, oystercatchers, and steamer ducks . With some luck, you might also spot characteristic steppe species like guanacos, rheas, maras, and foxes.

Following this visit, we will head back to Puerto Madryn at around 18:30 PM.

Elegimos esta excursión para cerrar nuestro viaje de aniversario y fue un acierto total. En Punta Tombo caminamos por los senderos entre miles de pingüinos, viendo cómo cruzaban tranquilos a pocos metros; el mirador sobre la costa patagónica tiene un paisaje increíble. Después embarcamos para buscar toninas y, cerca de la lancha, aparecieron varias saltando en grupo. También disfrutamos el traslado, los relatos del guía y el tiempo para recorrer el área y sacar fotos. Todo estuvo muy bien organizado, sin apuros y con momentos inolvidables.

Our minibus left Puerto Madryn at 7:02 a.m., just two minutes late, and our guide had snacks, water, and the park tickets sorted before we arrived. Punta Tombo was packed with penguins, while the dolphin-watching stop added a lovely surprise. Long day, yes, but smooth, well-paced, and far cheaper than arranging everything ourselves.

Unser Guide Martín kannte Punta Tombo erstaunlich genau: Er zeigte meiner Tochter einen weniger vollen Weg und erklärte geduldig, warum die Magellanpinguine bestimmte Nistplätze bevorzugen. Die Pausen waren sinnvoll geplant, und sogar ein kurzer Fotostopp an einer Estancia passte problemlos. Wir fühlten uns bestens begleitet.
