Punta Tombo And Bahia Vera

From your centrally located hotel in Puerto Madryn, we will begin our journey early in the morning towards the Patagonian coast to start this exciting adventure.

Our drive will take approximately two and a half hours until we arrive at the Punta Tombo region. Upon entering the natural reserve, our first stop will be the Bahia Vera private ranch, a renowned sanctuary for wild marine life.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to observe sea lions in their untouched natural habitat, a place with minimal human impact, making it truly exceptional. You’ll be able to take photos and approach these animals, always maintaining the proper distance and following your guide’s instructions.

Next, we will continue the tour to Punta Tombo, a protected natural reserve that is home to one of the largest breeding colonies of Magellanic penguins worldwide. Your guide will explain the best ways to interact with the penguins without disturbing their environment, including important guidelines for photography and walking along the trails. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the marked paths and observe these Patagonian birds up close in their natural setting.

Once we finish our walk among the penguins, we will enjoy lunch at Punta Tombo before starting our return journey to your hotel in central Puerto Madryn.
