Tour Description
The tour commences with a minibus transfer from your hotel to Tierra del Fuego National Park, entering through the Ensenada Zaratiegui sector. Here, you can take in breathtaking views of the Beagle Channel and its islands. This initial stop provides a perfect introduction to the unique blend of seascape and Patagonian forest that defines the area.
Next, you will set out on the Coastal Trail, a scenic path approximately seven kilometers long that follows the channel’s edge and winds through sections of Fuegian forest. Along the way, you can spot native plant life, local bird species, and archaeological remains from the ancient Yámana people, the region’s original inhabitants. The walk takes about three hours at a relaxed pace. Upon finishing the hike, you will arrive at Lake Roca, where a hot lunch awaits in a spectacular natural environment. After the meal, the adventure continues with a ride in inflatable canoes along the Lapataia River, drifting on peaceful waters toward Lapataia Bay, the iconic endpoint of National Route 3. Throughout the journey, a knowledgeable guide provides insights into the park’s history, geography, wildlife, and plant life. At the end of the experience, you will return to Ushuaia by minibus.
