The Blue Safari excursion promises an unforgettable adventure: Experience the thrill of touching the Perito Moreno Glacier with your own hands!
During this tour, we will navigate Lake Rico within the stunning Los Glaciares National Park, following our expert guide to land on the shores of the Perito Moreno Glacier. From there, we will walk across natural terrain of sand and stones, along the lakeshore, and through a vibrant forest until we reach the glacier itself.
Once beside the glacier, you will have the chance to truly appreciate its vivid blues, brilliant whites, and unique formations, capturing as many photos as you wish.
After returning to shore, you’ll enjoy 2 hours to soak in the breathtaking panoramic views from the famous walkways facing the glacier.

Tour Description
The Blue Safari tour starts in El Calafate, where a comfortable bus will transport us to Los Glaciares National Park.
Upon arrival at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, located just 7 km from the walkways, we will join our expert guide and board a boat to cross Lake Rico. After a scenic 20-minute navigation, we will disembark on the opposite shore. Our journey continues with a gentle walk over natural terrain, including sand, stones, some slopes, and steps, all while admiring the breathtaking view of the glacier’s southern wall—perfect for witnessing dramatic icefalls—until we finally reach the ice and touch the Perito Moreno Glacier itself!
We will pause here to fully appreciate the glacier’s stunning shapes and colors. After capturing countless photos, we will return to the starting point. During the boat trip back, you will have the chance to marvel at the imposing face of the glacier and observe every detail of its marble-like icy wall.
Back at the port, we will board the bus to the walkways, where you will have 2 hours to admire the incredible panoramic views and enjoy some free time for lunch (not included).
Our adventure concludes as we return to El Calafate, traveling across the Patagonian steppe, enriched by the unforgettable natural beauty and energy of this remarkable glacier.
