Cañadón Experience - Trekking And Stay
The Cañadón Experience trek is the best way to reach the Estancia 25 de Mayo Section, discovering the natural secrets of the canyon formed by the Calafate stream and the hills that surround us.
During this 7 km trek, nature invites us to see its specific fauna and flora, its geological formations and its marine fossils that have so many things to say about the evolution of the place.
In addition to having the opportunity to explore a almost unexplored stretch of Patagonia, the hike will be rewarded with an exquisite lunch at the Estancia 25 de Mayo Section.
Tour Description
The tour starts with the pick-up; of passengers from their hotel in El Calafate. In case you are not staying in an authorized hotel (airbnb, private home), the meeting point will be at the ACA Parking Lot or at the roundabout of the Secretary of Tourism.
We will start from the city in 4x4 heading South. After a 3 km walk, we will reach the starting point of the 3-hour trek. >.
Always safe of the wind, we will cross canyons and streams to enjoy unexplored landscapes of Patagonia: we will see a large number of birds, river trout and flora characteristic of the steppe, but also marine fossils preserved in geological formations, proving the evolution of the environment over the centuries.
The trek will end after 7 km in the Estancia Section, 800 meters above sea level, where we will share a full lunch.
The tour will end with the return to the passengers` hotels in El Calafate.
