The excursion starts with pick-up from centrally located hotels in El Calafate. On the way to Los Glaciares National Park, your bilingual guide will provide insights into the local flora, fauna, and the history that shapes the region.

The tour travels along the historic Route 15, also known as the "Estancias Road", traversing classic Patagonian scenery and sharing stories connected to indigenous communities, pioneers, and early settlers.

The first stop is the renowned Estancia Nibepo Aike, where you will tour the historic shearing shed, now converted into a family heritage museum. Afterwards, savor a traditional Patagonian lamb barbecue in the estancia’s barbecue area, complemented by a salad bar, dessert, and beverages. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

Following lunch, the journey continues to the South Glacier Pier to embark on a navigation of the South Arm and Rico Arm of Lake Argentino.

During the cruise, you'll disembark at Playa de las Monedas, a location only accessible by boat. From here, enjoy a gentle 40-minute walk through the native forest leading to the Mirador de las Rocas viewpoint, where you’ll experience breathtaking views of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Those who prefer not to walk can stay on the boat and reach the viewpoint by water.

Returning to the boat, you’ll cruise along the remarkable southern face of the Perito Moreno Glacier, with the chance to witness ice calving and the glacier’s progression toward the Magellan Peninsula—a world-famous natural event.

The boat then docks at Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, giving you access to the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways. Walking along these platforms offers different vantage points of the glacier and the iconic landscapes of Argentine Patagonia.

After over an hour exploring the panoramic balconies, you’ll begin your return to El Calafate as the sun sets.
