Our tour begins at 08:30 am with pick-up from centrally located hotels in El Calafate. After boarding the vehicle, we will travel to Estancia Alice, situated 23 kilometers from downtown, which serves as the starting point for our adventure. It is important to mention that this excursion is tailored to the group’s abilities and needs, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone.

Throughout the journey, we will traverse the southern slopes of Cerro Frías. Upon reaching its scenic viewpoints, you will have the chance to admire several natural highlights including the Centinela Valley, Torres del Paine, Lake Argentino, and the Brazo Rico branch of the lake.

As we move along the route, we will encounter native flora characteristic of the Patagonian Steppe, which is interspersed with native lenga forests hosting a diverse variety of local plants. Estaba en El Calafate por trabajo y aproveché la temporada baja con mi familia: el trekking del Cerro Frías fue el planazo. En una misma salida tuvimos traslado, ascenso en 4x4, caminata entre coirones y una tirolesa corta (mi cuñado gritó más que los chicos). El guía marcó buen ritmo y sumó datos de fauna sin ponerse documental de madrugada. Incluía merienda caliente y el equipo, así que el precio rindió muchísimo. Nos tocaron senderos tranquilos y vistas enormes del Lago Argentino. Volvimos cansados, felices y con fotos para presumir.
