This is a private tour designed to introduce you to the stunning landscapes of the Patagonian Coast, exploring the renowned Peninsula Valdés, San José Gulf, Bird Island, New Gulf, and Pirámides Port.
Guided by a bilingual naturalist expert, you will have the chance to observe an array of unique marine wildlife, including seals, elephant seals, birds, penguins, dolphins, whales, as well as southern right whales and orcas when in season.
The itinerary also includes a visit to the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Center, where you can learn in depth about the local fauna, flora, and the geological history of this remarkable region.
Tour Description
The remarkable Peninsula Valdés has been recognized as a World Heritage Site thanks to its extraordinary wildlife diversity. Here, visitors can encounter everything from majestic whales, orcas, seals, elephant seals, to a variety of birds soaring above its expansive beaches.
This is a full-day experience, guided by a professional guide on an exclusive private tour. The journey begins with a visit to the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Interpretation Center, where you will gain insightful knowledge about the peninsula’s fauna, flora, and geology through interactive exhibits.
You will also enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Nuevo Golfo, San José, and Isla de Pájaros throughout the tour.
Next, we will head to Puerto Pirámides, where, depending on the season, you can choose to go on an optional whale watching excursion or take a nautical trip with snorkeling (optional).
Continuing our land adventure, and depending on the season, weather, or tides, we will visit in different order or combine with other stops: Caleta Valdés, Punta Cantor, and Punta Norte, to observe elephant seals and sea lions.
The chance to spot land orcas is best from Punta Norte, especially during March, April, and May. There is also a possibility of sightings in Caleta Valdés during September, October, and November, though less frequently.
The estimated arrival back to the city is around 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
