Tour Description
The tour begins in Ushuaia at 08:30 am, heading northeast towards the Cordillera Fueguina. After approximately one hour of travel, we reach the Garibaldi Pass, where our trekking adventure starts, aiming to reach the summit of this mountain range. As we trek, we will follow trails that lead us deeper into the lush, dense forest.
Upon reaching an altitude of 600 meters, we leave the forest behind and the trail becomes less defined, continuing along the mountain’s edge as we seek out breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Escondido and Lake Fagnano. Around 10:15 am, we’ll arrive at a scenic viewpoint. The journey continues as we make our way to the beautiful "Gemelas", "Raquel", and "Los Perros" lagoons, typically arriving around 1 pm. Here, we’ll pause for lunch and take some time to regain our energy.
The trek concludes at 4 pm, after descending the northern slope of the mountain and traversing a dense forest, occasionally interrupted by impressive beaver dams. With some luck, you may spot these fascinating rodents before we reach our vehicle.
By 5:30 pm, we return to the city of Ushuaia.
