Antarctic Experience

At 8:30 a.m., a specially equipped vehicle departs from Ushuaia, collecting passengers directly from their hotels. Throughout the drive to Tierra Mayor Valley, a guide accompanies the group, offering introductory details about the adventure, background information about the region, and essential safety guidelines. The scenic 30-minute journey unfolds through pristine, snow-laden forests and the majestic Andes mountains. Upon arrival at the park, the group is welcomed by local staff at an operations base styled with a polar theme. Guests receive a warm greeting, a short orientation about the day’s activities, and the necessary gear is distributed (thermal suits, gloves, and boots, if required). Next, visitors make their way to the exhibition area. The group participates in a guided tour of the "Antarctic Explorers" exhibition inside an interactive dome. Through engaging panels, historical artifacts, and immersive projections, the stories and achievements of legendary explorers such as Ernest Shackleton, Roald Amundsen, and other South Pole pioneers come to life. The tour highlights the physical and mental challenges these explorers overcame and how their expeditions shaped our understanding of Antarctica. After the exhibition, visitors receive a technical briefing on snowmobile operation. Each participant has the opportunity to ride their own snowmobile, or share one if they prefer.
The group then embarks on a 6-kilometer adventure across the frozen valley, navigating through snow-draped forests, icy rivers, and breathtaking landscapes reminiscent of the expansive Antarctic plains. Several stops are made along the route to appreciate the surroundings, capture memorable photos, and learn about the local ecosystem.
