Our knowledgeable local guides will lead you along scenic trails that wind through lush forests, culminating at a summit that offers spectacular panoramic views. This excursion is available in both shared and private formats and includes a Lunch Box for your convenience.
Tour Description
The tour starts directly from your hotel at 8:00 am, with a short drive to the stunning Tierra Mayor Valley. We arrive by 8:30 am and begin an invigorating hike through this scenic landscape.
The initial section of the trek features a steep ascent, where you’ll be surrounded by the ancient lengas of the subantarctic forest. After approximately 45 to 60 minutes of challenging hiking (around 9:30 am), we leave the forest behind and are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views from higher ground.
By 10:15 am, we reach the stunning Turquoise Lagoon, renowned for its vibrant color, a hallmark of glacial lakes. The adventure continues as we ascend a rocky ridge, arriving at the summit of Mount Carbajal near midday. From this vantage point, you can observe the paths carved by ancient glaciers that once flowed toward the Beagle Channel, shaping the beautiful Tierra Mayor and Carbajal valleys. We will pause here for lunch, taking in the spectacular scenery, and by 1:00 pm, we will start our descent back to the vehicle at the base.
By approximately 3:30 pm, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
