Tour Description
Departing from your downtown hotel, we will head along National Route No. 3 towards the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Our first stop will be at Ensenada Bay, where you will enjoy sweeping views of the Beagle Channel and its islands. Next, we will board a boat to set sail towards Redonda Island. After a 15-20 minute cruise, we will arrive at the island, offering stunning vistas of the Beagle Channel and the National Park. Here, you can explore trails of moderate or easy difficulty, breathe in the fresh air of the Fuegian forest, and reach a viewpoint perfect for panoramic photos.
After our time on the island, we will board the boat again to return to Ensenada Bay and continue our exploration of the National Park.
Surrounded by lenga forests and peat bogs, our journey continues to Acigami Lake (formerly Lago Roca), a glacial lake spanning 5.50 square kilometers, nestled among mountains and forests—ideal for spotting native birds.
Just a few minutes from Acigami Lake, we will stop at the Alakush Visitor Center for approximately 20 minutes of free time. The center offers a café, restaurant, restrooms, souvenir shop, and a small museum.
The final stage of our excursion leads to Lapataia Bay, crossing cormorant archipelagos and peat bogs. At Lapataia Bay, you will discover a marine coastline teeming with mollusks and mussels, as well as remnants of ancient indigenous settlements. There will be time to stroll along the walkway and capture memorable photographs.
From this point, the end of National Route No. 3, we will return to Ushuaia.
