Tour Description

After picking you up from your hotel in central Ushuaia, we will set out for the Tierra del Fuego National Park on a comfortable bus featuring air conditioning and heating. On our journey, you will enjoy spectacular views of the region’s lakes, ponds, and rivers as we travel along the National Route 3. We will make a brief stop to take in the breathtaking scenery of the Beagle Channel, the Ushuaia peninsula, and the Bridges, Willie, and Les Eclaireurs archipelagos.

Our route continues along the base of Mount Susana, where you can observe the historical work done by prisoners of the old penitentiary, the site where the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino (known as the End of the World Train ) was constructed.

We will travel 2 more kilometers before entering the National Park, driving through forested roads until we reach Acigami Lake, a glacial lake surrounded by mountains and woods, where you may be able to spot native bird species.

After a 30-minute break at the service area, we will proceed to the far end of the park, where National Route 3 concludes at Lapataia Bay. Here, you will discover remnants of the ancient indigenous people who once inhabited the area and see various beaver dams along the path leading to Lapataia Bay—the true end of the world.

After an unforgettable half-day immersed in nature, we will return you to Ushuaia port.

OPTIONAL:

This tour can be enhanced by adding the 1-hour End of the World Train ride. The adventure begins at the End of the World Station, where you will travel the final 7 kilometers of the original 25 km route used by the prisoner train nearly a century ago. Experience the stunning landscapes of Austral Patagonia aboard the historic Train to the End of the World. After your train journey, a transfer will be waiting for you at the National Park Station at the end of the line.

Fui solo y me encantó que la salida se hiciera en un grupo chico, de unas diez personas: se podía escuchar al guía y también charlar sin que se armara una procesión. El ambiente fue relajado, con paradas bien aprovechadas y cero apuro. Martín, nuestro guía, conocía muchísimo el parque; nos mostró cómo distinguir las lengas jóvenes de los ñires y contó que la bahía Ensenada suele cambiar de color según el viento. Booking the small-group option made our anniversary day feel special. There were only eight of us, so the van felt relaxed and everyone chatted easily. Our guide, Martín, knew Tierra del Fuego National Park inside out, pointing out tiny peat bogs and explaining why lenga trees grow twisted by the wind. He even showed us a hidden beaver-built dam near Lapataia Bay. The optional End of the World Train was a fun extra, and the whole outing felt personal, unhurried, and genuinely memorable.

Nosso guia, Martín, conhecia cada detalhe e explicou até como os antigos presidiários usavam o trem para buscar lenha. Também indicou um mirante tranquilo para fotos, longe da maior parte dos grupos. Tudo bem organizado e sem correria.

Die Fahrt im bequemen Kleinbus mit viel Beinfreiheit und USB-Ladebuchsen war angenehm. Wir wanderten durch den Wald, besuchten die Lapataia-Bucht, sahen den Ensenada-Strand und hielten am Acigami-See. Besonders schön: mehrere kurze Stopps statt einer langen Wanderung. Den End-of-the-world-Zug habe ich optional dazugenommen – nostalgisch und perfekt für Fotos.
