Navigation In The Beagle Channel And The Island Of Los Lobos

The tour starts with a transfer from your Ushuaia hotel to the "Don Eduardo Arturo Brisighelli" Tourist Port, where you will board the boat. As we depart from the shoreline, you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city and its most iconic buildings, along with a spectacular blend of sea and mountains. The scenery features the impressive Mount Olivia, Cinco Hermanos, Estancias Fique and Túnel, and the Encajonado River.

Next, we navigate to the Bridges Islands. Here, we’ll disembark for a peaceful stroll. On this unique island in the heart of the Beagle Channel, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the following highlights:

- Yámanas Shell Farm: Near the dock, you can see archaeological remains from the Yámanas or Yaganes, the original inhabitants of the Beagle Channel. Through captivating stories from your guide, you’ll immerse yourself in their history and imagine their way of life.

- Island flora interpretation: We’ll walk along the interpretive trail to observe the distinctive plants, flowers, and fruits that thrive in this remarkable ecosystem.

We’ll return to the boat and continue sailing southwest. Our next destination is Isla de Los Lobos, where, from the boat, we’ll observe these fascinating sea lions in their natural environment for about 20 minutes.

The journey then takes us to Bird Island, the natural habitat of Magellanic and Imperial Cormorants. This location offers a unique opportunity to spot a variety of marine birds in their native setting.

The excursion proceeds to the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, located in the archipelago of the same name, where you can also catch a glimpse of the wreck of the Monte Cervantes ship, which sank in 1930.

We will conclude the tour by returning to Ushuaia through Paso Chico, passing by Estancias Túnel and Fique, and taking in the magnificent view of the city from Monte Martial and its glacier.
