Tour Description
Our adventure begins at the Ushuaia tourist pier, where you will complete your check-in at our office.
At 2:00 PM, we board the catamaran and set sail northeast along the Beagle Channel for approximately two and a half hours.
During the navigation, you’ll have the opportunity to see the various islands of the channel, including Bird Island. Here, you can observe a diverse range of birdlife such as albatrosses, cormorants, skuas, geese, and seagulls. We’ll also cruise past Sea Lion Island, home to South American sea lions, imperial cormorants, and royal cormorants. Our route takes us to the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, the southernmost lighthouse in Argentina.
Upon arrival, we disembark with a specialized guide for approximately 40 minutes on the island. Here, we will visit the Magellanic penguins, with about 40 to 45 pairs residing year-round. This island is an ideal habitat for these penguins, offering minimal predators, abundant food, and vegetation that provides excellent shelter for nesting and breeding.
We prioritize your comfort and safety throughout the journey. Our catamarans are the newest and most advanced in the region, featuring state-of-the-art navigation systems and modern engines designed for efficient travel and reduced environmental impact.
A knowledgeable guide will accompany us during the tour, sharing detailed information about the wildlife and landscapes while ensuring all visitors follow the island’s code of conduct.
We will begin our return journey to Ushuaia, sailing back along the Beagle Channel, at approximately 9:00 PM.
