Private Excursion In Gable Island And Pinguinera

Between 8 and 8:30 am, we begin with hotel pick-ups and then depart from Ushuaia, heading east on National Route Nº3. Upon reaching the Lasifashaj River, guests can choose between two activities: paddling in inflatable canoes along the river and the Beagle Channel, or heading straight to Estancia Harberton to explore the Marine Mammal Museum and the surroundings of one of Tierra del Fuego’s earliest settlements.

Meanwhile, those who opt for the canoeing adventure will gear up with rubber boots, protective trousers, and life jackets provided by us, preparing for an exciting journey downstream toward the sea. Once reaching the Beagle Channel, we guide the canoes towards the ranch. During the route, you’ll have the chance to observe local wildlife, including a variety of sea birds. It’s also common to spot sea lions basking on the small islets that line the way to Harberton Harbour.

After finishing the canoeing activity or the museum visit at Harberton, both groups reunite at the ranch’s dock. Together, we board a motor boat to Martillo Island, where you’ll witness penguins in their natural breeding grounds. The excursion continues by motor boat to the highlight of the day: the stunning Gable Island, where a delicious lunch paired with Patagonian wine and mineral water awaits.

Following lunch and coffee, we explore this remarkable island, walking past beaver dams, along the shoreline, and through the forest before reaching the boat that will return us to Harberton. There, our bus will be waiting to take us back to Ushuaia.
