Trekking To Estancia Tunel

Your adventure begins with a transfer from your accommodation to the stunning Playa Larga Natural and Cultural Reserve, situated along the breathtaking Beagle Channel. From this point, we set off on a gentle walk along the shoreline, where the peaceful waters blend with the lush scenery of the coastal forest.

As we follow the Beagle Channel, you’ll enjoy the refreshing sea air and the soothing sounds of the waves, while our bilingual guide shares insights into the history and ecological significance of this unique area. The trail takes us towards the entrance of the historic Estancia Túnel, a site rich with stories of life and work in the Patagonian region.

Throughout the walk, the abundant biodiversity of the coastal forest is on display: the remarkable flag tree, shaped by persistent winds, stands out in the landscape, accompanied by the pink blossoms of the notros and the canelos, native trees known for their aromatic leaves. You will also encounter a variety of fruit bushes and a rugged coastline that offers spectacular panoramic views.

This route, classified as low difficulty and spanning a 5 km length, is crafted to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, giving you time to pause and take in every natural and cultural highlight. At the end of the hike, you’ll be treated to a box lunch featuring a full sandwich, cereal bars or nuts, water and a hot infusion, to recharge before the transfer back to the city.
