Tour Description
The tour departs at approximately 8:30 AM from your hotel located in the center of Ushuaia. From there, we will head towards the Tierra Mayor Valley, the starting point for our trek to Esmeralda Lagoon.
We will embark on a guided hike through the enchanting Fuegian forests, crossing lakes, rivers, and the stunning mountain scenery of the Andes until we reach the Esmeralda Lagoon, a glacial body of water. Its name comes from the emerald hues created by sediments from the Ojo de Albino Glacier. Here, we will take a break to soak in the breathtaking views and capture memorable photos.
We will also explore the beaver dams, a fascinating network built by beavers along the stream, which gives the site its unique character.
After approximately three hours of hiking, we will reach a forest refuge, where we will enjoy a delicious box lunch as described in see menu.
At around 3:00 PM, we will return to our accommodation in the city center.
